Smarty, I guess you aren't so smart. I saw this film at a preview and it's great. In someways better than the book. The ymade Winnie 15 so that the love story between Jesse and Winnie could be fulfilled. Wouldn't really work if she were 10 and he 17, right??

Secondly, the Tucks are deep in the woods away from all civilization just like the book.

The movie absolutely captures the book, but makes it entertaining as a film which it is. It isn't a book.

The cast is great. Ben Kingsley IS the Man in the Yellow Suit and Alexis Bledel and Jonathan Jackson are really, really hot.

Next time, you might want to wait until you've seen something before you comment. Smarty -- I don't think so...

I thought J. Jackson was great as Jesse. And I seem to be the only one on this board so far who was at the preview. These two other clowns seem to have a bug up their rear about the book without having seen the movie, but I thought it was very good.

The audience (including myself) really liked Jonathan as Jesse and the girls in the audience were going ape-sh** over him.

I preferred Alexis Bledel from the Gilmore Girls as Winnie. I watch her show every week and think she is great.

Jonathan Jackson was decent in the part. He is an energetic and youthful presence, just as Jesse Tuck is supposed to be. The only problem is the relationship with Winnie. Jesse in the book would never have pursued Winnie in that way, but then again, Winnie was only ten in the book...
